Kit for the identification of point mutations K417N, P681R of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARSCoV-2) by onestep Real-Time RT PCR

REALQUALITY SARS-CoV-2 AIM Variants is a second level test for use on SARS-CoV-2 positive samples.
The analysis allows to establish whether the K417N and P681R mutations, located in the S gene, which identify the Delta variant, are present in the sample.

The test can be automated by performing sample extraction and PCR plate set-up on GENEQUALITY® X120 platform which also allows sample tracking, integration with the laboratory LIMS and minimal intervention by the operator.

• Includes all the reagents for reverse transcription and PCR-Real time amplification
• It involves a single multiplex reaction of the K417N and P681R point mutations in the SARS-CoV-2 Spike protein and the human endogenous internal control RNase P
• For use with RNA extracted from SARS-CoV-2 positive samples
• Requires 10 µL of extracted RNA
• Includes dUTP / UNG system for contamination prevention
• Requires an execution time of 70 min
• Compatible with CFX96 Real-Time PCR Detection System-IVD (Bio-Rad) and AriaDx Real Time PCR System (Agilent Technologies) thermal cyclers

For the Alpha, Beta and Gamma variants it is possible to use REALQUALITY SARS-CoV-2 Variants which allows to discriminate the K417N, K417T, N501Y mutations on selected positive samples.
